About me:

My name is Desire Baute. I have a degree in Modern Languages and literatures at the University Of Calabria UNICAL in Italy. I hold a teaching qualification in Spanish. I’ve participated in several programs for teaching Spanish as a second language in Spain: University of Salamanca USAL, University of Seville US, and the Menéndez Pelayo University UIMP in Santander. These programs combine theoretical and practical training in language pedagogy .

I hold a teaching qualification in Spanish, and more than 7 years of experience teaching Spanish in Italy and Spain, in private and in public institutes.

In the translation field I had the honor of being the official translator for Nobel Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú Tum at the University of Calabria UNICAL in 2016. I also orgnized the seminar where the Nobel prize gave the intervention.

I have participated in DELE examinations as a invigilator and examinator in the last 10 years. (The DELE Diplomas are official qualifications certifying Spanish language proficiency, awarded by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain’s Ministry of Education and Vocational Training) At the university of Calabria Unical , Italy, (Department of culture, education and society, and at The instituto Cervantes examination center at the Areonautical Academy in Bergamo, Milan. Italy .

In 2018 I partecipated to the seminar "Spaces of Alterity" .(Department of Humanities) and in 2019 participated to the seminar "Migration" (Department of Political Science), both seminars held at the University of Calabria. UNICAL , Cosenza . Italy.

In 2022 I have the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ European exchange program for teachers in Valencia, Spain. In which will I enhance my teaching skills with new technologies and modern methodologies in an international environment .
